Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
In short
- You can read HeaterSphere without creating an account or giving us your name.
- We and our partners use cookies for analytics and advertising, including Google’s advertising cookies. You can control them with your browser, our consent message where it appears, and Google’s Ads Settings.
- When you click a product link, we record which page and link were clicked. We do not store your name, email or IP address with that record.
- We do not sell your personal information for money. You can ask us to access or delete information about you at any time.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how HeaterSphere (“we”, “us”, “our”), the website at https://heatersphere.com, collects, uses and protects information when you visit the site. For questions or requests about your information, contact us at contact@heatersphere.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Emails you send us: your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message.
- Comments: if comments are open and you leave one, the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, and your IP address and browser user agent, which help detect spam. Your comment may be checked by an automated spam-detection service.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: like most websites, our hosting and security services process your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring page and the date and time of each request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files or identifiers stored on your device by us and by the partners described below.
- Product link clicks: when you click a link to a retailer such as Amazon, our site records the page, the position of the link on the page, the product identifier and the time of the click, so we can see which recommendations readers find useful. This record is not linked to your name, email address or IP address. Your IP address and browser are used only momentarily to avoid counting the same click twice, and are not stored with the record.
3. Cookies
We use the following kinds of cookies and similar technologies:
- Necessary: needed for the site to work and to remember choices such as your cookie consent and comment details.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which guides are read and how visitors arrive, using services such as Google Analytics.
- Advertising: used by Google and its partners to show ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure ad performance and, where permitted, personalise ads.
- Affiliate: when you follow a link to Amazon or another retailer, that retailer may set cookies on its own website to credit us with a referral.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. Where our consent message is shown, you can change your choices at any time through the privacy or cookie settings link on the site.
4. Advertising and Google
HeaterSphere may display ads served by Google (including Google AdSense) and other advertising partners.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info (United States) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe and the UK).
- If you opt out of personalised advertising, you may still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing history. Non-personalised ads still use cookies or similar technologies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
To learn how Google collects and uses information when you use sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses cookies in advertising.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a consent message before cookies are used for personalised advertising or analytics where the law requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Analytics
We use analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used so we can improve our guides. These services collect information such as pages visited, time on page, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you arrived at the site. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. Affiliate programmes
HeaterSphere is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon may collect information about you under its own Privacy Notice. We never receive your name, address or payment details from Amazon; we only see aggregated reports of purchases made through our links.
7. How we use information
- To operate, maintain and secure the website.
- To understand which guides are useful and improve our content.
- To reply to your emails and handle correction and privacy requests.
- To display advertising and earn affiliate commissions that keep the site free.
- To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on these legal bases: your consent (for non-essential cookies, including personalised advertising and analytics where consent is required); our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the site and measuring which recommendations are useful; and legal obligations.
8. Sharing information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with:
- service providers who host and secure the site, and help us analyse its use;
- advertising partners such as Google, through cookies and similar technologies as described above;
- authorities or others where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our visitors and the site.
9. How long we keep information
- Emails: for as long as needed to deal with your message, and no longer than 24 months unless a longer period is needed for a legal reason.
- Comments: until the comment is removed, or until you ask us to remove it.
- Product click records: kept to compare which pages and placements are useful over time; they do not identify you.
- Cookies: for the periods set by us or our partners; you can delete them in your browser at any time.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email contact@heatersphere.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
11. United States privacy rights
Residents of California and several other US states have rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies set by our partners may be considered “sharing” under some state laws. You can opt out by adjusting your cookie choices, using Google’s Ads Settings, or enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser where it is supported. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
12. International transfers
Our service providers and advertising partners may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
13. Children’s privacy
HeaterSphere is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Links to other websites
Our guides link to retailers, manufacturers and other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
17. Contact
For any question about this Privacy Policy or your information, email contact@heatersphere.com, or use our contact page.
