What to write to us about

• Corrections. If a fact, figure or safety point in a guide looks wrong or out of date, put “Correction” in the subject line and include the page address. We check every report and update the page when it needs it.
• Questions about a guide. Tell us which article you were reading and what was unclear, and we will try to answer or improve the page.
• Topic suggestions. Heating problems you would like us to cover are always welcome.
• Privacy requests. To ask about, correct or delete personal information we hold, write with “Privacy request” in the subject. See our Privacy Policy.
• Business enquiries. Advertising and partnership enquiries are welcome, but we do not sell placements in our guides or accept paid links. See our Editorial Policy.

Before you write

• In an emergency, do not email. If you smell gas, or a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave the building and call your gas supplier’s emergency line or the emergency services from outside.
• We cannot diagnose or repair appliances. For a fault with a gas, oil, propane or wired-in appliance, contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician.
• Orders, returns and warranties are handled by the retailer you bought from (for example Amazon) and the manufacturer. We do not sell products and cannot see your orders.
